Medicare Vs. Medicaid

Even though there are major differences between them, many people get the names Medicaid and Medicare confused as well as the benefits each offers and who is entitled to the benefits.

Medicare is health insurance for people age 65 or older, under age 65 with certain disabilities, and any age with End-Stage Renal Disease (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant).

Medicaid is the United States health insurance program for individuals and families with low incomes and resources.
